They should <strong>never be stored in distilled water<\/strong>, and preferably not in tap water either. You can of course test tap water or similar water sources with the meter, but after use the probe should be cleaned properly and then stored again in KCL solution. This applies in general to all <strong>pH meters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The same general rule also applies here: <strong>pH probes should not be stored in distilled water<\/strong>, and ideally not in tap water. Measuring tap water, RO water, house pipe water, or similar samples is not a problem in itself, as long as the probe is cleaned afterwards and stored correctly in KCL solution.<\/li>\n<li>Since the <strong>AC-PHM7 is a 2-in-1 device with pH and EC measurement<\/strong>, the situation is a little different: an EC meter alone would not necessarily need to be stored in KCL solution, and for many EC meters this is not required.
