Liquid Silicon 1L is very beneficial for plants in the range of 10 to 30 ppm in nutrient solution. The grower must add silicon as a separate ingredient. Liquid silicone can be added to the nutrient containers every time a new/fresh fertiliser mix is prepared.

Silicon is a beneficial plant nutrient found in almost all natural soils, but not in sufficient quantities. For Hydroponics, Aeroponics or RDWC you have to add it manually. The silicone will strengthen the plant’s cells, which produce healthier plants with huge root systems and make them more resistant to pests and diseases.

Why Silicate:

• Improves nutrient uptake and transport through the plant
• It strengthens cell walls, which help plants resist attack by fungi and mites.
• It increases chlorophyll production, which leads to darker green leaves and improves light gathering.
• It increases the uptake of available CO2 and takes advantage of improved metabolic processes to achieve higher yields.
• It adds very useful extra potassium for increased flowering.

Liquid silicon plays an important role in the absorption and vascular transport of mineral nutrients and can greatly improve the mechanical “strength” of the plant and its resistance to fungal diseases.

The addition of liquid silicon to nutrient solutions can greatly reduce the incidence and severity of fungal diseases, including Botrytis (bud rot) and powdery mildew.
Recent research has shown that increasing the silicon concentration in hydroponic solutions produced thicker and healthier root systems and higher yields.

Silicone has also been shown to have higher chlorophyll concentrations per unit area of leaf tissue. This means that the plant can tolerate both lower and higher light levels by using more of the available light.

Dosage:

• 1ml per 2 litres of hard water or 1ml per litre of soft water
• Liquid silicone ALL silicone products – has a high pH and can therefore be used effectively to raise the pH of hydroponic nutrient solutions. The extra silicon added is a bonus for the plants.
