Description

Milwaukke pH MW 100 PRO

The Milwaukee MW100 PRO PH meter features manual calibration and fast operation in a robust design.

The Milwaukee MW100 PRO pH meter is ideal for users in swimming pool and hydroponic applications. This meter is also ideal for teachers who want their students to learn the basics of pH meter calibration before going fully automatic.

Milwaukke pH MW 100 PRO offers:

SPEED:

  • The MW100 provides fast results to ±0.2 pH accuracy with two-point manual calibration.
  • This robust gauge is designed to withstand impact. Combined with the low-maintenance, laboratory-grade SE220 epoxy electrode, the MW100 is ideal for everyone from educators and pool professionals to hydroponic growers.

DESIGN FEATURES

  • Fast, easy-to-read results with a large digital LCD readout.
  • Accurate to ±0.2 pH with a pH range of 0.0-14.0.
  • Light, ergonomic and portable.
  • Easy to measure: just place the probe in the sample, gently stir and wait for the reading to stabilise
  • Simple manual two-point calibration for greater accuracy.
  • Low maintenance, high performance, gel-filled, double contact laboratory pH electrode with screw cap to ensure correct storage (SE220 probe included).
  • 3 metre probe cables for extra flexibility in testing.
  • Low battery indicator.
  • Battery life approx. 300 hours of continuous use. (battery included)

USE AND CARE:

  • PH meters usually start to malfunction because of problems with the probe. The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference contact.

SENSING BULB:

  • A glass bulb loses sensitivity with use and eventually fails. This applies to all pH probes.

REFERENCE SITE:

The reference contact is a small hole that allows the meter to compare the sample with the reference. A reading is generated based on the electrical difference between the sample and the reference. If the joint hole becomes blocked, the pH probe will no longer work.

You can extend the lifetime of a pH electrode in the following ways.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

All pH sensors have a limited lifetime and the response time increases with age. Proper maintenance of the pH pen will give you fast and accurate results for longer. So make sure you order the Milwaukee pH Maintenance Kit with code PH-Main when you buy! This will be needed to help clean and condition the pH electrode before use!

STORAGE

The PH probe must be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Allowing the probe to dry out can also cause the connection hole to become blocked.

Storage in the MA9015 pH probe storage solution or pH calibration buffers will help to solve both problems. Do not store in tap water or DI water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe.

The best way to store the probe is to fill the probe cap with storage solution or calibration buffer and tighten the cap to prevent leakage. It is also recommended to keep the electrode in an upright position to further reduce the chance of leakage.

CLEANING

Sample residues can affect the sensitivity of the sensor bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample has a lot of organic material. We recommend that you regularly soak the electrode in MA9016 cleaning solution.

CALIBRATION:

The pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time, so make sure you calibrate regularly to keep your PRO pH meter accurate. Also calibrate after cleaning or longer storage.

Measuring devices

Why are pH meters so important?

The pH value indicates how acidic / basic a liquid or soil is. For your plants to thrive, it is important to pay attention to the pH value of the soil and the irrigation water!

Most plants are most comfortable in a slightly acidic to slightly alkaline environment. This corresponds to a pH value of 6 to 7.5.

Choosing the right measuring device depends on factors such as the desired accuracy and your budget. Take a look at our selection and get an overview!

Ask? We are happy to help you find the right pH meter for you and your projects!
